LG washer repair, from OE codes to bearing rumble
LG builds its washers around an inverter direct-drive motor — fewer belts to snap, but its own set of signatures: drain faults that throw OE, unbalance shudders behind UE, and the slow bass rumble that means drum bearings. We carry the pumps, sensors and door boots that LG machines actually need, so most repairs finish in one visit.
Short on Time? Book Online, We’ll Call to Confirm.
Our trucks carry the recurring parts for all three generations: lid locks, drain pumps, shift actuators, suspension rods, door boots and control boards. That stock is why the large majority of LG washer calls in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and London finish in one visit.
The terms are the ones you’ll find sitewide: written quote first, free service call with a completed repair, 90-day parts-and-labour warranty, and the $35 coupon off your total.
Free Service Call with Repair
Go ahead with the repair and we waive the service call — no hidden fees, and no additional charges on weekends.
Your LG display codes, translated
OE means the machine can’t drain — usually a clogged pump filter or failed drain pump. IE is the opposite: water isn’t coming in, pointing to inlet valves or supply. UE or UB is an unbalanced load or worn suspension. LE flags the motor or its sensor, dE the door lock, and tE the heat sensor. Tell us the code when you book and the tech arrives with the likely part.
LG Washer problems we fix
OE code — washer won’t drain
The most common LG call there is. We pull the drain pump filter (often full of coins and lint), test the pump, and have the machine draining again the same visit in most cases.
Deep rumble on spin — drum bearings
A jet-like rumble that grows with spin speed is the classic LG front-loader bearing symptom. We diagnose it honestly and quote before any teardown, so you can weigh repair against replacement.
UE / UB — constant unbalance stops
If every load ends in a UE shuffle, worn suspension or a tired hall sensor is usually to blame — not your loading technique. Both are economical fixes.
IE code — no water coming in
Inlet valves clog with scale in this region’s hard water. We test the valve and screens, replace what’s failed, and check fill times before we leave.
Front-loader leaking at the door
LG door boots wear a fold at the bottom of the gasket where water finds its way out. We replace the boot and clean the seal path so it doesn’t return.
Dead mid-cycle or won’t power on
LG control boards and noise filters occasionally fail, but we always test the cheaper causes first — door lock, wiring and the machine’s own diagnostics — before quoting a board.
Brands we repair
Factory-trained on every major washer brand — electric and induction.
…and many others. Don’t see your brand? Just call — we likely service it.
